The choice of winter clothing has long ceased to be practically justified: like any product in the modern world, it has become a luxury item and a fetish. Socially imposed stereotypes of showing love for a woman in the form of a gift of an expensive fur coat only aggravated the situation ... And even with worthy and cheap alternatives, the thought of a precious fur product does not leave the minds of many of us.
But what if you look at it from the other side and realize that for the sake of satisfying someone's desires, millions of animals die a painful death? Animals that, like you and me, are full-fledged inhabitants of the same Planet. The fact that they were bred specifically for industrial killing does nothing to diminish their suffering. Long gone are the days when, apart from the skin of a tiger, mined with one's own hands, a person had nothing to keep warm. There are many other options for warm clothing on the market: faux fur coats, synthetic winterizer jackets, clothing made from thermal insulation materials and other technological innovations ... Demand for them is growing, which is facilitated, among other things, by the popularity of environmental and vegan movements. Many of the world's clothing brands and designers are committed to non-violence and anti-violence in the fashion industry and make clothing without the use of animal materials.
Thus, to look beautiful and dress appropriately today, it is not at all necessary to participate in the chain of animal cruelty. Our choice ultimately has a direct impact not only on the world market for goods, but also on the environment, which undoubtedly includes all living beings.
