MainVideoTristram Stewart: Outrageous Food Waste Statistics

Tristram Stuart's TED talk on his personal exploration of the world's food loss makes me wonder how we've come to this absurdity. He tells interesting facts about how perfectly usable food is thrown away (like bread crusts in restaurants that are not "suitable" for sandwiches) while half the world's population is starving. For rich countries, food is produced 50-100% more than the required level.

Take 15 minutes of your time to study this problem and try to change your intake.

“We are land creatures and depend on the earth for food. At the moment we are destroying our land to produce food that will never be eaten. Stop throwing food away."
