This coming weekend, July 9 and 10, 2016, the Russian capital will host a major event for vegans and vegetarians — MosVegFest — organized by Organic 365.
Last summer, the authors of this event already held a festival in Moscow called “Go Vegan!”. Having set out to regularly gather in the summer the "green movement": vegetarians, vegans, raw foodists, environmentalists, adherents of a healthy lifestyle (HLS), they go further than many similar initiatives, banning smoking, dairy products and any "products obtained unethically". This is how the organizers themselves briefly describe MosVegFest: “The future is coming with us! Market without meat and milk. Concert without alcohol and drugs. Thousands of sober people."
MosVegFest is expected to:
- the market for vegan products (including food, sweets and cosmetics), homemade goods and gadgets for a healthy lifestyle;
- 2-day concert, a prerequisite for the artists of which is vegetarianism; (among the speakers: OdnoNo, Masha and the Bears, GROT, Shakti loka, Pasha Aeon and others);
- lectures on vegetarian nutrition and a healthy lifestyle;
- set of different activities: yoga, mass fitness and warm-ups, arm wrestling, playground.
The festival will be held at the summer stage in the park at the ZIL Cultural Center (7 minutes walk from the Avtozavodskaya metro station). The current cost of a ticket for any day of MosVegFest is 150 rubles. Entrance for children under 12 years old is free. The website of the event is mosvegfest.ru .
