The third annual environmental initiative has started at the largest university in Russia - Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov. The Summer School "Green University: Ecological Innovations for the Sustainable Development of the University" is organized by the Center for Bioeconomics and Eco-Innovations of the Faculty of Economics and the Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture and Design. The event brought together experts in the field of environmental protection, separate waste collection and environmental innovations from around the world - among the experts of the school are specialists from Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain and Russia.
Experts and students have come together to consider and find solutions to the following global environmental problems:
- popularization of a healthy lifestyle (ecologically clean and healthy food, popularization of cycling and public transport, landscaping);
- introduction of a separate waste collection system;
- improving energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources;
- raising the environmental awareness of the masses, promoting eco-culture;
- development and popularization of environmental innovations, etc.
Based on the results of the Summer School, the best projects will be presented to the university management for their implementation in practice. Students of all faculties of Moscow State University, as well as other universities, can take part.

The summer school became a continuation of the first inter-university eco-festival " VuzEcoFest-2015 ".
