The state organization Mospriroda (Moscow) announced the Green Mobilization campaign, which recruits volunteers to plant trees and shrubs in 70+ courtyards of schools, boarding schools, hospitals, kindergartens, veterans' homes and other social facilities.
The plantings, scheduled for May 12-21, will be accompanied by an informative lecture on ecology and the importance of nature conservation and an entertainment program with "environmental contests".
Public and environmental organizations, representatives of political parties, deputies of the Moscow City Duma, and the media are also invited to participate in the action.
