HomeNewsMoscow launches a crowdsourcing project to collect proposals for the city's Environmental Strategy

The government of the Russian capital is completing the development of the Ecological Strategy for the Development of Moscow until 2030 and has launched a crowdsourcing project to collect proposals from residents.

The idea of crowdsourcing is that part of some functions or the solution of some issues is transferred to an indefinite circle of volunteers. The essence of the new project, initiated by the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, is that all Muscovites, by completing certain tasks and asking questions to experts, will be able not only to discuss the main provisions of the Environmental Strategy being created, but also to propose their own measures to stabilize and improve the environmental situation in Moscow. The result of the project will be the inclusion of the best proposals from volunteers in the Moscow Environmental Strategy.

Directions in ecology, which are considered within the framework of this project:

  • reduction of air pollution;
  • development of water protection;
  • protection against harmful effects (noise, electromagnetic fields, etc.);
  • development of the green fund, biodiversity conservation and soil protection;
  • development of a waste management system;
  • development of ecological education and enlightenment of the population.

The Moscow Environmental Strategy project will start on July 20 and end on July 31. Registration for participation in it is available on the crowd.mos.ru . At the time of writing the news, 2406 participants were registered.
