a banner from the public organization Greenpeace, 50 m2 in size, “ No Garbage” appeared The inscription was made from 316 plastic bottles. The purpose of the action is to show the importance of recycling in general and plastic bottles in particular. Many new things can be made from such bottles: clothes, bags, blankets, accessories, etc.
The slogan of the banner demonstrates an understanding of garbage that is not quite familiar to us. After all, garbage can be a secondary raw material for the production of new things, while saving natural resources and not polluting the territory. Moscow is a densely populated city with a million tons of waste annually, which are dumped near the city limits and tend not only to grow, but also to pollute soils, groundwater and air.
Greenpeace actively seeks to urge Muscovites to address the problem of garbage in their city and write a letter to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin for centralized separate waste collection. At the moment, many of the declared recycling points do not work or are mobile points where the townspeople do not have time to hand over their garbage. That is why separate collection is a problem for many and the population does not dare to make the necessary changes.
At the end of the action, a banner with plastic bottles took the famous Greenpeace green tank for recycling.
